Krkonoše Mountains,

The Krkonoše Mountains were established as a national park in 1963; superlatives are often used when describing this area. They are the highest as well as the most visited mountains in the Czech Republic. They also have the highest concentration of waterfalls on our territory. Landmarks worth mentioning include the Elbe spring, waterfalls, quarry and hut, Pančava falls, Sněžné jámy (“Snowy pits”) among many others. Looking over the entire range is Sněžka – the mother of the Krkonoše Mountains. Not only is it the highest peak in the Krkonoše Mountains, but also in all of the Czech Republic.
